In the Brandy Multiple-blade Scalpel Handles, the blades are staggered 3.0mm in depth from right to left. This staggering will compensate for the curvature of the scalp and allow all of the blades to make even contact with the scalp. The surgeon can then angle the cut to correctly remove the strip without transecting the hair follices. The Quadruple handle will cut three strips, the Triple cuts 2 strips and the Double cuts one.

The advantages of this method are:

1) Significant amount of time is saved when harvesting the minigrafts.

2) Healing is better at the donor site because there are no rugged edges as there are with conventional harvesting.
