Designed for Plastic, Cosmetic and Hair Transplant procedures. Blades are manufactured using a chemical process wherein the final product is composed of artificial sapphire, one of the hardest substances available (sapphire blades are rated a "9" on the Mohs scale of relative mineral hardness, one level lower than the hardest and densest of materials, diamond). By crafting a blade from this material, the cutting edge will remain sharp for much longer periods, leading to long-term cost savings for your practice.
Hello. I'm a hair transplant surgeon in South Korea. I'm interested in spear-point sapphire blades and would like to ask some questions. Could you specify how many incisions one sapphire blade would maintain its sharpness for and is it autoclavable? And are the blades compatible with different types of handle, maybe just normal needle holder? Thank you.
About 5000 incisions per blade and it's autoclavable. The blade screws into the handle that we provide. You can break the blade if you do not use a precise up and down incision technique.
